Pocket Prep is committed to providing a digitally accessible experience for people of all abilities. We are continually working to improve our products according to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and welcome any suggestions for improvement.
Measures to Support Accessibility
Pocket Prep has taken the following actions to improve accessibility:
- Our designers have taken W3C’s Intro to Accessibility training course and presented core learnings to the larger Pocket Prep team
- We have an ongoing partnership with Ablr, a Disability Inclusion and Digital Accessibility company, who regularly reviews our products and assists our designers and developers in removing barriers to an accessible experience
- Our products have been tested by users with disabilities
Conformance Status
Web Study Product
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines outline requirements for designers and developers to build an accessible experience for all users. We are working towards full conformance to WCAG 2.1 AA and in some cases AAA. Some elements of our web product do not adhere fully to AA at this time:
- Not all containers pass 3:1 contrast ratio
- Text spacing can overlap when adjusted
- Some tables are not marked up correctly
- Settings view does not go down to 320px width
- When signing up for a paid plan, there is no prompt to confirm that the user understands the Subscription billing terms (coming end of 2022)
Mobile Study Products • iOS and Android
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines outline requirements for designers and developers to build an accessible experience for all users. We are working towards full conformance to WCAG 2.1 AA and in some cases AAA. Some elements of our mobile product do not adhere fully to AA at this time:
- Not all containers pass 3:1 contrast ratio
- Our app does not support landscape format
- Some tables, lists, and headers are not properly marked as such
- Some questions involving math powers and functions are not read correctly by a screenreader
- Some components are not compatible with assistive technology
- Our third party help tool, Intercom, is not fully accessible

Web Dashboard Product
Our Instructor Dashboard product has not been evaluated for compliance at this time. We intend to evaluate it in the future.

Assessment Approach
Pocket Prep is partnered with Ablr for external evaluation of our products. Testing was performed with automated and manual testing by users of various abilities based on WCAG 2.1 Level AA as well as a range of assistive technologies: Screen readers: VoiceOver and TalkBack, JAWS and NVDA, and Colour Contrast Analyser.
They delivered ACR’s for our web in May 2022 and for our mobile products in Oct 2023, which you can find below.
