The Critical Care Paramedic-Certified (CCP-C) designation is aimed at advanced paramedics with significant experience in critical care, delivering patient care in various settings such as pre-hospital, inter-hospital, and within hospitals. The examination's questions are tailored to assess expertise in this specialized field of paramedicine, beyond the foundational knowledge expected of entry-level paramedics. Candidates are anticipated to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the latest standards in critical care transport medicine, alongside the skills and knowledge accrued through extensive field experience.
The CCP-C exam features 135 questions, with 110 being scored and 25 serving as unscored pretest items. Candidates are allotted 2.5 hours to complete the exam.
